I think we had talked about what is a “combo” amp in the past.
Combination of the Power amp – what drive the sound to the speaker , Pre amp- the sound of the amp and the speaker cabinet which we all know what it is.
I just bought a few weeks ago a Marshall Jmp-1 Preamp , the reason trying to carry less for shows .
So I can plug the pre-amp straight to the computer because it has a speaker simulator connection.
If you will plug it with out that the pre amp will sound awful , like a fuzzing sound.
Anyhow it did you good like that but I wanted to improve it so more so I connected it to my Eleven Rack and bypassed all effects besides the reverb and I used the Speaker simulator from the eleven rack.
You defiantly should check it out it sounds and feels almost as an amp and the cool thing about it …
i dont need to carry heavy amp to the gig , I do have some shows coming up I’ll keep you posted about how it is sound on stage
